  • Snagging a house

When you move into a new house or premises, it has to be in perfect condition. However, very often, there are damages to walls, floors or scratches on walls and there may be the damages that may not be caused deliberately. It is very disturbing to find out that there are changes and renovations already need to be made. There may have been cracked window frames, dents in the walls. In snagging, these are all entered in the report. The snagging report is an inventory of all the items of damage to a new building.

The contractors are called in to ensure that the damages are mended and there are no problems with the promises when the customer uses it. If the snagging checklist identifies all the problems then it must be understood that contractors did a good job. If a snagging report were properly followed, the buyers would not even notice the damages. However, preparation of snag lists is expensive and time consuming. There are different types of contractors needed for different types of jobs. There are carpenters needed to mend the woodwork, tillers needed to repair tiles and other workers needed for different types of jobs. These make the work time consuming and expensive. How about getting the job done by one contractor? Snagging is a critical part of the process of buying a home. The poor quality site management and sub contractors have led to the need for snagging. There are also other factors that lead to the need for snagging.
